I run Fedora 30 on my ThinkPad P1 with i3 as a windows manager. Today, I switched to Plasma to test something out. While running plasma, I launched (Gnome) Software centre to check if there was any firmware update for this P1. To my surprise, there was one available: 1.21 released on April 29, 2019.

Updating the firmware to 1.21 on Fedora 30 is as easy as clicking on the “Update” button and restart the machine.
